Kayat Ku

The title of my blog "Kayat Ku" is in Ilocano words that mean "I Love". We have different taste but hey you may find out we love the same thing or you may just discover that we're the complete opposite.

Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez: Amazing Race Asia 2

This is the first time that am watching Amazing Race Asia! I love the 2nd Season because of one optimistic team and the most notable facts are they are Filipinos and Winning! I am definitely a Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez believer that they will win the game! They make the 9PM Thursday nights (latest episodes) exciting and something to watch out for at AXN.

Best Buddies Profile

  • Marc Nelson - 31, TV Host and Model
  • Rovilson Fernandez - 30, TV Host and Magazine Editor

Why do I love them?

  • I am amazed on how well they face the challenges with so much wit and optimism.
  • I adore how they have fun and simply laugh their heart out!
  • I love it when they have the cheerful dance when they reach the pit stop.
  • I respect them when they have their quiet cheer at the temple pit stop.
  • I admire how they handle the pressure and help one another instead of arguing.
  • I like how fit they are and ready to take on any task.
  • They have high E.Q. because they don't mind asking for directions if they're lost.
  • Even luck loves them when they got the right key for the right padlock at first try.

Liz Murry

This lady rocks! Born on September 23, 1980 in New York. I've watched her story last night from Hallmark Channel that's called "Homeless to Harvard" for the first time and I truly admire her intelligence, will, and love for her mother.

From SHRM.org: Liz Murray's life is a triumph over adversity and a stunning example of the importance of dreaming big. Her life as the child of cocaine-addicted parents in the Bronx was bitterly grim. By age 15, Murray's mom had died and she was homeless -- living on the streets, riding the subway all night, and eating from dumpsters. Amidst this pain, Liz always imagined her life could be much better than it was. "I started to grasp the value of the lessons learned while living on the streets. I knew, after overcoming those daily obstacles that next to nothing could hold me down." Liz finished high school in just two years while camping out in New York City parks and subway stations. She went on to earn a scholarship from The New York Times and entered Harvard in 2000. In order to be closer to her ill father, Liz has since chosen to attend Columbia University. Lifetime Television produced a movie about Liz's life story entitled From Homeless to Harvard, which premiered in April 2003. She is currently writing her memoirs and was a recent recipient of Oprah Winfrey's first ever Chutzpah Award.

Britney Allen

Britney Allen is the character portrayed by Hayden Penettiere from the movie Bring It On: All or Nothing. I super love the character because she's not afraid to show how she really feels and she knows exactly her strength and worked it out. I love it when she smiles when she admires something even if those people may be messing with her, I love it when she's not afraid to admit she's wrong, I love it when she stands tall and strong, and most of all I love it when she don't break the rule and aims to WIN.

Moon and Stars

I love the silence of the night.
I love the dark blue sky that allowed the moon and stars to shine.

If I will choose to become a nature,
I will choose to become a yellow butterfly...

Wehihihihihihi

Well, of course, I like to become a moon,
then star, then the butterfly...
But the butterfly thingy is a complete different story.

Windows Media Player Look

I really love the Battery: Gemstonematrix Visualization. I love prim and proper and having boxes seems to symbolize organization and nothing too messy. See the screenshot and well as you may see I only have one mp3 right now and it's "Way Back Into Love" by Hugh Grant and Haley Bennett. I also love the movie and I love the story behind the lyrics so it's really cute.

The Top Ten Emerging Influential Blogs in 2007

Ms. Janette Toral of DigitalFilipino started The Top Ten Emerging Influential Blogs in 2007 and the ones that I usually read was created later than August 1, 2006 so to join the world of fellow bloggers and try joining a blog contest for the first time am nominating two of my blogs:

1. http://sobiz.wordpress.com/ This is fairly new and I intended to write all my thoughts about business. I finally found the industry which is I.T. that I like to be involved with plus I also found the company which is Softrigger Interactive, Inc. that is quite a home and most of the time doesn't post as a workplace at all but a fun place where I can be me (both silly and loud) and offer great I.T. solutions.

2. http://kayatku.blogspot.com/ This is the blog where I really put the any thing that I love. Kayat Ku is actually Ilocano words that can be translated as "I Love". This is to acknowledge the beautiful-no-matter-how-simple thing they may be.

Emotional Pain Lasts for 12 Minutes

Of all the It's-Good-To-Know-Psychological-Facts this could be my favorite if it's true which my friend Ylai sent me through SMS, it says:

All emotional pain lasts for 12 minutes, anything longer than that is self inflicted.

Since I am not really good in managing emotional pain and the more than I have the tendency to be seriously moody and unreasonable, I will keep to mind that at those silly crazy 12 minutes moment I shouldn't do anything stupid that I'll regret later on. Is this another way for me to hope that I'll achieve goodness at all times? I'm working on it. I am not a perfectionist, I heard it is bad to the heart to be perfect, I just want to do things right and do the right things while my heart and mind are relaxed and equally challenge about the beautiful surprises of life.
